Contrary to popular belief, throwing shade is not an exclusively female activity. Divas aren’t the only ones adept at the art of throwing shade. Men too, throw shade all the time!
In no particular order, here are 10 examples of male celebrities throwing shade!
1. Adam Lambert
Although Adam denies that his tweet is shady, it has been heavily speculated that the tweet was directed at Nick Jonas whose topless photos was an alleged marketing move to cater to the gay community.
2. Rob Kardashian
Rob Kardashian pretty much voiced out what we’ve all been thinking all along.
3. Snoop Dogg
No need to feel sorry for Iggy, her comeback proves she can take care of herself!
4. Justin Bieber
Justin Bieber threw some major shade with his recent song ‘Where are now’. In the music video, the following screenshot was an obvious dig at his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez and her boyfriend Zedd.
5. Brad Pitt
This one comes as a little surprise. Brad Pitt didn’t just throw shade, he threw shade at his BFF George Clooney! He was quoted in an interview when asked about his and George’s respective weddings as saying
We did it for the right reasons
Was he implying that George got married for the wrong reasons?
6. John Cleese
When shown a picture of Taylor Swift’s cat during the Graham Norton Show, John Cleese had this to say:
Is that a proper cat? Or is it damaged? That’s the weirdest cat I’ve ever seen in my life.
7. Graham Norton
Speaking of the Graham Norton Show, the Irish host has thrown some incredible shade throughout his showbiz career. While hosting the Eurovision contest, Graham Norton managed to throw shade at an entire country!
The bad news is you’re about to watch Albania. She’s only 17, so please bear that in mind. Where was her mother? Why didn’t she step in and say no?
8. Nick Jonas
No longer the nice Disney kid he used to be, Nick Jonas showed his shady side when he threw some shade at Justin Bieber with this shady line while playing a game
This looks ridiculous. This is Justin. That’s the clean giveaway.
9. Elton John
Elton John threw shade at his long-time nemesis Madonna during an interview with the Australian media. He was quoted as saying
If Madonna had any common sense she would have made a record like Ray Of Light and stayed away from the dance stuff and just been a great pop singer and make great pop records, which she does brilliantly… She looks like a f****** fairground stripper
10. Kanye West
Kanye West is easily the king of throwing shade. His shade throwing incident at Taylor Swift has since become immortalised as a classic MTV VMA moment!
