Dear Straight People,
There’s a gay play happening in Malaysia this month!
THE BROTHERHOOD 同棲時間 By W Productions
Kuala Lumpur – In a groundbreaking collaboration between Taiwanese and Malaysian theatre talents, a heart-wrenching narrative of discovery, love, and societal scrutiny will soon grace the stage of Malaysia. THE BROTHERHOOD 同棲時間 is set to debut at Pentas 2, klpac, from September 21 to September 24, 2023.
THE BROTHERHOOD 同棲時間 centers around an improbable twist of fate.
Two individuals, initially strangers, cross paths at a massage center, only to realise later, at their father’s funeral, that they share the same father but have different mothers. Their love story, already complicated by blood ties, becomes further entangled by societal judgment, the intrusion of a third party, and the enduring scars of their respective biological families.
A Cultural Exchange Between Taiwan & Malaysia
The play marks a significant milestone in Taiwan-Malaysia theatre exchanges, promising to leave audiences captivated and deeply moved.
The production poses a poignant question to its viewers: “Can a sky without one colour of the rainbow truly be complete?”
