10. When Gu Hai bought Bai Luo Yin medicine and underwear (Episode 2) 

While it’s unclear whether Gu Hai bought the underwear and medicine for Bai Luo Yin because he had developed feelings for the latter or because he felt guilty for getting Bai Luo Yin into trouble by ripping out his homework, the gesture was nevertheless sweet and marked the first of many other sweet gestures that he bestowed upon Bai Luo Yin throughout the first season.

9. When Bai Luo Yin got angry with Gu Hai for using his phone too much during their first ‘date’ (Episode 5)

There’s something inexplicably cute about a loved one throwing a jealousy induced tantrum and this scene is a perfect example of that.

On their first ‘date’ surprisingly initiated by Bai Luo Yin himself, Bai Luo Yin got fed up with Gu Hai for using his phone too much and stormed off to fish by himself.

8. When Bai Luo Yin persuades his dad to get married (Episode 13)

There are many awww worthy moments between Bai Luo Yin and his dad but this touching scene takes the cake.

Despite knowing full well that he would have to move out so that his dad can take care of his new family, Bai Luo Yin still persuades his dad to get married.

7. Bai Luo Yin goes out to wait in the cold for Gu Hai (Episode 15)

Throughout the series, it’s always the more expressive Gu Hai who has been making all the sweet gestures so it was a real surprise when Bai Luo Yin dropped his guard down for once.

In this scene, Bai Luo Yin got worried after not finding Gu Hai when he woke up on a snowy winter morning. His anxiety got the better of him and he braved the cold to sit outside so that he would be able to immediately catch a glimpse of Gu Hai when he returns.

6. When both of them say their infamous lines (Episode 4)

In what has arguably become the most famous exchange in the series, this classic scene went something like this:

Bai Luo Yin:       Are you sick?

Gu Hai:               I am sick

Bai Luo Yin:      Then take some medicine

Gu Hai:               You are my medicine

One of the biggest highlights of the drama, the numerous scenes of Gu Hai and Bai Luo Yin talking about everything from their parents to their ambitions during their late night pillow talk sessions provided audiences with some truly awww worthy moments.

The sparkle in Gu Hai’s eyes as he talks lovingly and passionately about Bai Luo Yin to his suspicious girlfriend is one scene that really bought out an ‘Awwwwww’ in us.

3. When they ‘break up’ (Episode 11)

This heartbreaking scene of their relationship ending when Bai Luo Yin learns of Gu Hai’s parentage elicits a different kind of ‘awww’ as compared to the other scenes mentioned in this list.

2. When Gu Hai promises to love Bai Luo Yin after their first sexual encounter (Episode 12)

After finally getting lucky with Bai Luo Yin, Gu Hai says some of the sweetest things a man could possibly say after getting some action.

1. When Gu Hai consoled Bai Luo Yin who cried his heart out when his dad remarried (Episode 14)

In this memorable scene, Gu Hai agrees to Bai Luo Yin’s request to piggyback him up to the rooftop despite the fact that Bai Luo Yin probably weighs a ton.

And if that wasn’t touching enough, Gu Hai goes on to console a heartbroken Bai Luo Yin by promising to love and take care of him for the rest of his life.
