Dear Straight People,
If you’ve exhausted your options on Netflix, you will be glad to know that South Korea will be releasing its first ever gay web drama very soon.
This upcoming gay drama is called Where Your Eyes Linger, and it will feature a gay relationship between two 18-year old Korean men.
Where Your Eyes Linger is directed by Hwang Da Seul, best known for writing the popular web drama “Love As You Taste” and winning an award at the Catholic Film Festival with his 2018 short film “Spring in Summer.”
Comprising eight 10-minute episodes, this groundbreaking drama will tell the story of a romance between the sole heir of a family-owned conglomerate and his bodyguard. Han Gi Chan will play Taeju, the heir while Jang Eui Soo will star as Kook, Taeju’s bodyguard and lover. Rounding up the main cast is Choi Gyu Ri, who takes on the role of Hyemi – a transfer student from Thailand who serves as the third wheel to Taeju and Kook.
The highly anticipated gay Korean drama is expected to be released publicly on 22 May 2020. A director’s theater cut will also hit cinemas in June.
