Online dating just got hotter!
Jack’d has officially launched Moments, a new feature that lets users share photos and videos that disappear after 72 hours; giving queer users a more playful, spontaneous way to connect beyond the usual static profile pics and carefully curated bios.
Think Instagram Stories, but built for a space where flirting, chemistry, and real-time connection are already part of the experience.
According to Jack’d, Moments was developed in response to growing demand for more immediate, authentic interaction on dating apps. Instead of relying solely on permanent profile content, users can now share short-lived updates that capture what they are doing, feeling, or looking like in the moment — whether that is a gym selfie, a late-night mirror pic, a candid video, or a flirty check-in meant to catch someone’s eye.
And honestly, that kind of fleeting, low-pressure content is exactly what makes online flirting feel more alive.
Users can post up to eight active Moments at a time, uploading photos or videos directly from their camera or gallery. Each post disappears automatically after 72 hours, creating a sense of urgency and immediacy that permanent posts simply do not have. In other words, it is here for a good time, not a long time.
But Moments is not just about serving face. Jack’d is also positioning it as a more intentional way to share. Users can choose who sees each Moment through the app’s existing Lists feature or by sending it directly to specific people. That means you can share a playful update with a wider circle or keep it more personal by sending it only to selected matches.
How To Post a Moment
- Tap Inbox from the bottom menu bar, then tap your profile avatar at the top.
- Add content: You can either take a photo or video in the app, or select a photo from your gallery.
- Crop & review, choose the duration (12, 24, 48, or 72 hours), then tap Next.
- Choose who can see it:
- Select one or multiple Lists.
- Use Send Directly to select specific members.
- Tap Share to post.
The feature also comes with privacy safeguards. Screenshot functionality is blocked, blocked accounts cannot view shared content, and the disappearing format gives users more freedom to post without feeling like every image has to live online forever.
Jack’d says Moments has been in development for several months, following feedback from users who wanted a more immediate way to connect. And it makes sense. Dating apps have long been built around profiles and chat, but many have lagged behind when it comes to the casual visual sharing that dominates everywhere else online.
With Moments, Jack’d is closing that gap and doing it in a way that feels tailored to queer digital life, where intimacy can be playful, messy, vulnerable, and yes, a little steamy.
Because sometimes, all it takes is one disappearing selfie to start a conversation.
