Pride Month may be over. But there is another pride event coming your way next month.

Dear Straight People,

Mark your calendars because the Thailand Pride Festival will be taking place in Bangkok from 25 to 27 November!

Organised by a coalition of LGBT+ organisations, the inaugural Thailand Pride Festival is organised under the theme of ‘Unity & Diversity’.

“Pride has a role to communicate to the wider society for better understanding, and when this is achieved the process of amending the law for equal rights for LGBTQI+ will eventually happen.”

Teerasil Tapen, Executive Director, The Americas Region, Tourism Authority of Thailand

The 3 day festival will boast a wide variety of activities, all with the aim of promoting greater diversity, inclusion and acceptance of the LGBT+ community. This includes performances, exhibitions, open markets, concert(s) and more.

One particular highlight to look forward to is the Thailand Pride Festival March on Silom Road on 27 November 2022.

“Pride is SOUL, Pride is LIFE, and Pride should take place throughout the year until we have equality. Let us come and celebrate together at Thailand Pride Festival 2022!”

Nachale Boonyapisomparn, transgender activist and member of the Thailand Pride Festival Working Group.
