You will be amazed at what some gays will do for a professional thirst trap.
Much like the casting couches of Hollywood, the world of erotic male photography has long been dogged by salacious rumours. The top photographers in this niche don’t just shoot amazing photos. They often command massive online followings too.
So not only do aspiring models walk away with stunning pictures for their Instagram. They often experience a surge in followers after being featured on the photographer’s account.

Dear Straight People,
For the record, sleazy photoshoots aren’t just a uniquely gay phenomenon.
Like any creative art form, photography is an industry lacking in regulation. Nor are there any strict codes of ethics to adhere to. What constitutes professionalism to one person, may seem unprofessional to the next.
In an industry where the work often takes place behind closed doors, it’s not all that surprising that lines can be murky. A quick google search will reveal plenty of reports of female models being traumatised by sleazy male photographers. Even a global superstar like Alicia Keys has fallen victim to a manipulative photographer.
But the world of erotic gay photography is different; simply because the dynamics are different. For gay photoshoots, not only is it between two grown men. The model is more often than not, stronger than the photographer.
For years, rumours have swirled about what goes on at such shoots. Certain photographers have even developed a bit of a reputation. But much of these rumours have remained just that – unverifiable gossip.
For the record, nobody is claiming that most gay photoshoots turn sleazy. But there’s no denying that some do. After many failed attempts, I’ve finally succeeded in getting interviewees willing to go on record; two models and one photographer.
Welcome to the underground world of erotic male photography!
